Three weeks later, I finally completed my acrylic painting. The painting was a depiction of my recently passed horse, Cie. I chose to paint her because it can stand in her memory even years after she has been gone. Even though she is not perfectly represented. I used what I had in memories of her and one photo that I took of her in the prime of her life and painted away. But before I started this painting, I had to research three artists that would guide me with their techniques to finish this project. I used Henry Thomas Alken for inspiration for the horse itself. His horse paintings were detailed and beautiful, and that is what I hoped to accomplish that make her look like. I also used Carl Heinirich Bloch as a helpful guide for the religious part, though mine was not of a religious symbol, she has passed and has gone to heaven, that's what I believe, so maybe if I mimicked how he depicted holy followers of God in my painting I could get the same effect. The last artist I used as a inspiration was Leonardo da Vinci, his outstanding detail is something I strived for. If there was anything in my painting I would like to change, it would be to dull down the brightness of the colors. I didnt want it to be sad and too dark, but I wanted the focus to be pinpointed on Cie rather then the eye wandering around the painting at all the colors. But overall I am really pleased with the outcome and it will soon be hanging on my wall in her memory.

This is my completed clay pot. It's uses are for burning incense, for this I placed a small hole in the center for the incense for sit , also it can be used to place a tee light candle. It's 2 1/2 inches tall, it's very petite and thin, this is so if I wanted to use it just for decoration it wouldn't be to bulky. I chose a cream white with blue and green spots. I really liked how it came out, and I'm excited to use it for my incense. If I were to change anything I would have smoothed out the top rim, maybe even make the over all pot thicker. But I would definitely keep the color though.
